I am always looking a great foundation so when I heard that YSL was coming out with a new product, I had to check it out. What attracted me to buy this product was the 24-hour wear, lightweight matte finish build able coverage, and on top of it all, sweat proof.
The YSL Fusion Ink foundation is a weightless 24-hour foundation with SPF 18. This foundation has an innovative hybrid technology that is light weight and build able to create a high-coverage without looking cakey. This foundation also has a sweat controlling agent to last in the heat and humidity.
This foundation dries pretty quick; I like to apply the product on sections of my face with the applicator and buff the product in with a Real Techniques expert face brush. Where I need extra coverage, I will go over the area two to three times and doing this does not make me look cakey, which is expected with a matte foundation.
If you are looking for a matte light to full coverage foundation, this foundation is for you.

I'm not really a fan of shadow sticks, the few that I have (Nyx & Mally) are nothing special. The product itself is thick, it doesn't apply nice/smooth, it's not blend able, and it creases. So why did I buy the By Terry shadow sticks?
One day I was watching a video on You Tube by Tanya Burr (Pixi2woo) where she did a tutorial using the By Terry ombre blackstar shadow stick; when she applied the product on her eye, it created such a nice color. The product appeared so creamy and easily blend able. I thought to myself, I want this, I want something easy, I want something quick, but I also want it to look good. I went ahead and purchased two of the By Terry shadow sticks on Amazon. When I got them, OMG I couldn't believe how soft and creamy the product is.
The brand By Terry is a luxury brand, only found in stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Barney's. These Ombre Blackstar shadow sticks cost $43, a hefty price to pay for a shadow stick. What's so special about this product?
The By Terry Ombre Blackstar is a "color fix" cream shadow in a pencil form. The benefits of this shadow stick; its infused with ultra-smoothing Tahitian black pearl extracts which lights up the eyelids with reflective shine. The texture evens out the eyelids and provides a radiance lift. This product is waterproof, blend able, and can even be applied on the waterline, or smudge under the bottom lashes.
There are 13 colors to choose from; I purchased 2 (from left to right), misty rock and bronze moon.
This product is so beautiful: I use this product to create a quick and easy everyday look.

Being a make-up junkie, being a part of the Sephora VIB, and being a subscriber to a monthly subscription of Birchbox; the samples are endless.
I love getting samples, it's a way to try something out that I would never think of buying. Its also dangerous because it's a way to try something out that I would never think of buying and spend more money.
Just the other day I was looking through my make-up drawer and realized that my samples were over flowing. It was driving me crazy so I decided to make a video of a make-up tutorial using my make-up samples. I thought this will be a good start to a tag serious. If anyone out there is like me, then their make-up drawer is probably overflowing with make-up samples also.

Tarte cosmetics are becoming one of my favorite brands. I only have a few products right now but I defiantly plan to get more.
When I first saw the rainforest palette on the Ulta website I said to myself, "I have to get that palette". Never trying Tarte brand eyeshadows before, I knew this palette was going to be something special that I would enjoy.
Let's talk about the packaging! The package is gorgeous.......it's a large compact with great size mirror and the outside a beautiful gold detail of a snake with a purple stone on the head. Tarte is known for having such great packaging. But are the products just as good as the packaging???
Yes they are!!!!
This palette is great for travel; this is all that you need to bring to do a full face (blush, highlighter, bronzer, & eyeshadows). It includes a full size of the famous 12-hour amazonian clay blush, the famous park ave princess bronzer, a highlighter, and six warm and cool toned eyeshadows (matte & shimmer).
From left to right: Champagne (highlighter), Unleashed (blush), Park Ave Princess (bronzer). Champagne, a very reserved highlight with gold specs-"it won't make you look like a disco ball." Unleashed, a matte cool tone pink. Park Ave Princess, a matte bronzer with the slightest sheen; can also be used as a tradition shade eyeshadow--it reminds me of Mac e/s in soft brown. This bronzer gives the skin a nice bronzy glow, or it can be build able to create a deep contour.
From left to right: Bare to Explore (matte), Make a Mauve (slight shimmer), Plum away with me (slight shimmer), Up to Gold (frost), Tan-Gled up in you (matte), Don't Turn a-Brown (matte).
*all six shadows are perfect to create more than one look; you can easily incorporate the highlight, bronzer, and the blush. The possibilities are endless!

I am very pleased with this palette; I don't regret purchasing it. I feel that this will be a great palette to travel with, but being a make-up addict like me, you know that traveling with one palette is not possible.

What rock was I hiding under; I recently discovered the L'oreal infallible eyeshadows, "Oh how I love them so." Not to long ago Ulta was having a sale on L'oreal so I decided to pick up some of the infallible eyeshadows (I picked up 2). Before I knew it, I returned to Ulta to get more (totaling 9).
When I became "really into" make-up I would only buy Mac but after watching You-Tube I began to spread out a little more. When it came to eyeshadows it was hard for me to venture out to other brands especially with drug store brands. I would always fear that I wouldn't like other shadows because I had a bad experience with Too Faced and NYX shadows (too much fall out, not enough pigmentation, etc). I thought to myself, "Why not, L'oreal is on sale and I can return it if I'm not satisfied." I was pleasantly pleased to discover such a great drug store brand of eyeshadows.
The L'oreal infallible eyeshadows are buttery soft, a perfect powder to cream texture. They blend effortlessly and are very pigmented. Eight out of the nine shadows that I purchased have a nice shimmer, one is a matte (#891). These eyeshadows remind me of the perfect pressed pigment without the fallout. These eyeshadows are waterproof, they don't crease, and they are known to last 24 hours; I never wore them for 24 hours but they sure lasted 10 hours on me without fading.
I have recently been enjoying the products of Boscia; I went to Sephora to purchased a mask but was introduced to "The Art of Multi-Masking Kit" value box ($42) which included all four of the Boscia mask and an application brush. This kit also included instruction on how to multi-mask; for example, if you had dryness on you forehead and cheeks and oily on your nose and chin, than you would place the blue mask on the dry areas and the green mask on the oily areas. I basically tried out all four of the masks separately on my full face.

In the kit there are four of the Boscia mask (0.7 oz.). Each mask focuses on a specific problem of the skin. *from left to right: Blue-cool, calm, and hydrates the skin. White-dimish hyper pigmentation, and evens skin tone. Black-boost clarity and minimize pores Green-eliminates shine and minimize sebum production.
The Boscia bright white mask was my favorite, in regards to what it did for my skin. The smell was awful; it smelled like glue and the texture reminded me of paint, and the product was very sticky. Overall, I liked it, it peeled off my face nicely and evened out my skin tone.
The Boscia luminizing black mask: this product has a chemical smell, it was so tight on my face, and it was very difficult for me to peel off. Overall, it did leave my skin soft and it minimized my pores.
The Boscia cool blue calming mask: this product had a nice citrus smell, it was very cooling and refreshing on the skin, but it was difficult for me to get a thick opaque layer on the skin. The directions state to apply a "thick opaque layer" to ensure that the mask can easily peel off. After the 30 minutes, I had to remove the product with a wet face cloth. Overall, the blue mask was a nice hydrating mask.
The Boscia green tea oil-control mask was not a product for me, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. The mask has a nice citrus smell, felt very nice on my skin, but it dried my skin out. I have normal skin and should've never used this product. The green mask will work great for those with oily skin and excess shine.
Having a brush in the kit was very useful. I would suggest if anyone decides to buy this product, to defiantly go out and get yourself a cheap foundation brush. It makes applying the products so much easier, especially with the white mask (sticky product).

Let's face it, we all wake up with a surprise guest on our face.......that red, painful, hard zit.
I recently discovered that the Glam Glow supermud (white package) is great to use as a spot treatment for those unannounced visitors.
Glam Glow super mud is for blemishes, white heads, black heads, and even for razor bumps and ingrown hair. The supermud contains acnecidic 6 which includes glycol, salicylic, lactic, mandolin, pyretic, and azelaic which basically means it pulls the oil out of your skin and creates a dry layer over the zit.
I used this product as an over night spot treatment on my zit and woke up with it gone......not completely, there was still a red mark but it was easily descised with make-up.
The Glam Glow is pretty pricey ($69), so look for samples from Sephora, or other department stores that sell it, and only use as a spot treatment.
I have been purchasing and collecting make-up brushes for years; trying to find the perfect brush for contouring my face was a challenge. I finally was able to find five brushes that are perfect for me to contour with.
Here are my top five contour brushes. I feel that they work the best for my face; these brushes distribute the right amount of product, easy to handle, and easily blend the product well to create a perfect contour and sculpted face.
MAC #138 Tapered Brush
This was my first brush that I purchased when I began contouring my face, and at the time I bought it, the most expensive. The domed shaped brush is ultra soft with natural fibers; the brush is constructed with a pointed tip and rounded chiselled sides. This brush enhances the technique of sculpting. The tip fits perfectly into the hollows of the cheeks, and the chiselled sides blends the product out.
MAC #127 Split Fibre Face Brush (alluring aquatic line)
I purchased this brush to use as a blush brush but I instantly discovered that this brush is great for contouring. The brush is a split fiber brush (a combination of natural and synthetic fibers), and paddle shaped with a slight tip. I found that this brush fits perfectly in the hollows of the cheek when holding it side ways---the tip of the brush is perfect for picking up the product. The application of the brush is similar to the MAC #138 brush but gives a more sculpted look to the face

Make Up Forever 134 Wavy Fan Brush
Is made of soft wavy synthetic fibers and can be used for both loose and compact powders. The large, fan shaped brush can be used for highlighting and sculpting. The brush picks up the perfect amount of product and gives a soft defused effect on the face. The base of the fan brush works well for highlighting and blending.

Nars Ita Brush
The concept and function of the Nars Ita brush was created from Japanese culture; the unique design was based on a kabuki artisan brush. The Nars Ita brush is known for its small angular shape and soft black goat hair. This brush is the best of both worlds when it comes to contouring and blending.

Now I'm going to talk about a brush that everyone discards, it's the famous Benefit boxed blush/bronzer brush. The brush is a cheaper with a smaller handle of the Nars Ita brush. I feel that this brush works great for applying the products, its fits perfectly into the hollows of the cheeks, and blends well. That is why this brush is listed in my top 5 contour brushes.

As I was shopping on Amazon I came across these brushes, "oh how these internet companies suck you in with their side bar advertisments--they get me everytime!!!" I need another brush, like I need a hole in my head, but I had a $20 gift card so I went for it. I got the Sigma Make Me Blush travel brush kit in pink. It comes with seven travel size brushes (3 face and 4 eyes) and a brush holder (see below picture).
Although the brush holder doesn't hold additional large brushes, I was able to add several smaller brushes, in the event I were to travel (example: adding two MAC 217, 239, and a concealer brush).
